My Makeup Kit Essentials: Products I Use on Brides

What a bridal kit has to do

A bridal kit is not about having everything. It is about having the right things: products that last 12 hours or more, look good in photos, suit every skin tone in the bridal party and survive emotional moments. These are the categories I never compromise on.

1. A long-wear base

The base has to last from morning photos to the last dance. My go-to is full coverage with a soft-matte finish, like the JU Quillage Foundation, with its 13 shades for the whole bridal party. For dry-skinned brides, a hydrating formula like the Hydrating Skincare Foundation.

2. Correct, conceal and sculpt

A cream correct & contour palette handles dark circles, tattoos and sculpting in one compact, and a creamy, crease-resistant liquid concealer brightens tired eyes.

3. Setting, always

Loose powder where the skin creases or shines, then the 24HR Waterproof Setting Spray. This step is what makes bridal makeup last through tears and heat.

4. Waterproof eyes and brows

A waterproof brow pomade that does not smudge, a soft, flattering eyeshadow palette and a waterproof fibre mascara.

5. Colour that stays

A long-lasting blush keeps the bride looking fresh in photos, and a non-transfer matte lipstick with lip liner survives the toasts and the kisses.
